Peruvian-born, Barcelona-based artist Nulek presents the second release on his own label, 2trckrs. Continuing the approach of the first release, which featured various artists, this EP sees Nulek collaborating on the A-side with Portuguese artists Stckman and Kyle Quest on track A1, and with Catalan producer Roto on tracks A2 and A3. The EP blends EBM and New Beat influences with a raw mix of electronic music and punk energy.

The concept of the album began taking shape around two years ago, as Nulek explains:

"I started working on this album during a difficult period in my life. Despite the challenges, the pain fueled my creativity, providing the emotional depth I needed to fully immerse myself in the music. In the end, it gave rise to these tracks, which I’ll always consider a positive outcome."

Further strengthening the BCN-LX connection, the A1 track was born in the Portuguese capital after a late-night idea became a sonic reality. Nulek recounts:

“One night around 3 a.m., after discussing the idea of blending punk with electronic music, Nuno (Stckman) suggested we head to Kyle Quest’s studio in Sintra. By 4 a.m., we were deep into the session. Kyle’s punk-inspired bass set the tone, while Nuno found lyrical inspiration from a random book. The three of us collaborated on the go, and the track came together naturally. The rest is history”.

In a few words, this second EP from the label packs the right attitude of emotion and punk spirit, successfully breaking away from the more conventional electronic sounds.
